Latest Ramsbottom Crime Statistics

The latest crime statistics for Ramsbottom have been released.  Our town and villages remain a safe place to live, work and play – thanks to the hard work of residents, community and neighbourhood watch groups and the Police.

StockCMYK35The latest statistics released for Ramsbottom Ward for March 2016 show the number of offences reported.  We have also included the numbers for September 2015 in brackets so residents can see if particular types of crime have increased or decreased over the last 6 months:

  • Anti-Social Behaviour – 22 (28)
  • Violent / Sexual Offences – 11 (7)
  • Burglaries – 16 (6)
  • Vehicle Crimes – 4 (11)
  • Thefts – 9 (8)
  • Criminal Damage – 19 (6)
  • Public Order – 9 (3)
  • Bike Thefts – 0 (1)
  • Drug offences – 1 (1)
  • Shoplifting – 3 (2)
  • Weapons 1 (0)

You will see that Burglaries, Public Order and Criminal Damage offences have increased, whilst vehicle crime has decreased.

We have received reports of opportunistic burglaries recently, with thieves accessing unlocked doors.  Please be vigilant.
