Local Election Results to be broadcasted live

PosterBury Council has taken the decision to live stream the local election results.

Polling Day is on Thursday 22 May (7am to 10pm) but the votes will not be counted until the following day.

Residents can therefore tune in at lunchtime on Friday 23 May on Bury Council’s website to see the votes being counted in all of Bury’s 17 wards at the Castle Leisure Centre.

The live broadcast is being carried out by Bury company Digital Tree UK, which has been streaming meetings of the council since December 2012.

The council will also be tweeting the results as they come in – follow on Twitter @BuryCouncil or @CllrIanBevan – and the results will also be regularly updated on the council’s website at http://www.bury.gov.uk
